The things we don’t do at home

Have you ever noticed how many things we do on our cruise holidays that we rarely or never do at home?

For example I rarely drink cocktails at home yet whilst onboard they are more or less all I drink of an evening. I also never gamble at home but I am in the Casino for hours playing Roulette whilst on my cruise

I also never make the effort to watch the sunset at home but whilst cruising I make it my routine to watch it set every evening, maybe that’s because they are the most beautiful natural sights I have ever seen. It never has the same WOW factor at home

When cruising something really does come over you that makes everything you want to do possible, you always set out a budget of what you are going to spend but you always manage to go over it in one way or another on a special little treat. It really is like nothing matters anymore, all the daily worries are gone and you simply enjoy yourself

One thing I find laughing at myself for whilst cruising is the fact that although I really am not an avid follower of football I do feel a little sorry for the men sometimes who all gather to watch the match and then ultimately are told the ship can’t pick up the satellite signal. I find it funny that these creatures of habit MUST have football or they can’t function properly. They all gather like excited children waiting for that kick off but it doesn’t always happen

I suppose that’s one thing that is followed like the law itself no matter where in the world you are, football!!
