The Fred Olsen slogan is ‘It’s all about the people’ and this line has a very specific appeal to a very specific audience.. A large part of their business is from repeat travellers. This is a family-operated company with a fleet of five ships, all of which have a strongly Scottish ambience. Unlike other larger ships and lines, Fred Olsen says it is proud of the intimate world it offers, where modern-day conveniences sail in harmony with traditional values.

Things to note are that the passenger age here really is somewhat advanced, sixty-plus is the lower end, not the average, and this is not a cruise line for those who want innovation. It does combine the flavour of the heyday of cruising, with the personal attention of a small vessel, and if that sounds like your kind of holiday, nobody does it better than Fred Olsen.
