Infinity is a ship with pluses and minuses. A definite minus, and something that comes as a surprise to many passengers, is that she was designed to the old cabin system – on most ships cabins might be different in shape, to fit around structural features of the ship.

Millennium

This ship made its debut in 2000, obviously. It’s a superliner, so there’s lots of people on board and one complaint seems to be that the casino is not big enough for all passengers who might choose to use it.

Reflection

In 1997, Celebrity merged with Royal Caribbean International. The superior design and exceptional cuisine are hallmarks of the shipboard experience and have been extended into the Millennium-class ships, superliners which have new and less polluting propulsion systems as well entertainment innovations to balance environmental concerns with technical excellence and the distinctive Celebrity cruise style.

  • Special dining features –pizza service with a difference: really good hot pizza delivered to your cabin; authentic Italian coffee and chocolates in the Cova Café onboard each ship
  • Special suite features – anything from sewing up a torn hem to organising your bookings and unpacking your case: dedicated butler service makes the Celebrity Suite experience a true luxury
  • Special kid features – clubs for those aged 3 to 6, 7 to 9, 10 to 12, and 13 to 17. There are small charges for extra child activities, and all children must be toilet-trained to take part in groups
  • Entertainment features – one of the quieter cruise lines, Celebrity expects its passengers to know what they want and how to find it. You won’t be chivvied to take part in things but the education programme, in particular, is well regarded
  • Spa and fitness features – Elemis run spas offer a good range of treatments and fitness facilities with optional personalised programmes and training at extra cost
  • Routes – almost everywhere that big ships can go, with ‘little’ Celebrity Xpedition picking up the specialist Galapagos route
  • Brand history – established in 1989 by a Greek consortium, Celebrity became part of the Royal Caribbean International group in 1997
