I Love to Cruise

It really is that simple

I don’t think there is anything I dislike about a cruise holiday other than the dreaded disembarkation day. You know the day where you are made to leave the ship no matter how much you stamp your feet and pout your bottom lip. Cruising has also affected my friendships, basically some of my friends I am sure wince when they see me coming because they know at some point the words cruise and ship will leave my mouth, I just can’t help myself.

Although some I am sure do curse me I have managed to convert one or two into people that would say yes I enjoy cruising. OK so not quite as in your face about it as I am but hey at least they are mentioning cruising now too!

The one great thing about cruising though is the friends you make. Staff or passenger they do become genuine friends, I still correspond now with people I have met on my cruising adventures and it is so rewarding to find people who are just like you. Maybe you can make friends on a land based holiday too but the friends you make at sea really are that extra bit special.

I want to use this blog post to say THANK YOU to all the crew across all the cruise lines for making cruising so much fun for us all. Even in times of tragedy like Costa Concordia we mostly stuck together as a little cruise community and rallied on to do everything possible to support one another and not let the incident damage our love of the open ocean.

I would also like to say a big HELLO to my friends onboard P&O Oceana…..still missing the giggles.
