Now i am asking what should i pack?

My longest cruise is only 14 nights, it's usually in the summer months and i know where it is going is going to be hot so it makes it quite easy to pack however, this cruise will see me depart in November for places i expect to be both warm and quite chilly and it is for 24 nights so WHAT DO I PACK?

Yes the cruise fanatic is asking the killer question!

But really what do you pack, for a start you can't take your entire wardrobe, i know some people do but personally i would rather not so how do i thin it down and only take what i will need?

This cruise will visit Spain, Italy, Portugal, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus and Greece so i need to try and find some kind of middle ground when it comes to clothes and of course shoes. I expect Egypt and Israel to be relatively warm maybe even quite hot but what about Spain and Italy? i am sure this time of year there temperatures are'nt much greater than those in the UK.

Am i being a typical paranoid woman going along the lines of "oh my goodness what am i going to wear"? or do i have a legitimate query here? ladies i would appreciate your feedback

I also wonder what the age range onboard will be like, not that i particularly care but i do like the kids being onboard although i think they will all be in school during this cruise.

As i mentioned this will be the longest cruise i have ever embarked on and my first cruise at this time of year, plus for regular viewers of my blog and our facebook who probably know me quite well by now i would also like to inform you that this time i am going on a different ship! yes, can you believe it! i knew you would be pleased!.

As i was saying this will be a rather different experience for me but i can not wait, i am extremely eager to explore the ship and visit these amazing lands! and who knows maybe get a bargain or two in Egypt thanks to my friend who is also travelling and just happens to be Egyptian

I would love to hear your comments and suggestions and even find out if anyone else is travelling on the same cruise, if you are i am sure you recognise the ports right away but just in case this one is on P&O Oceana and departs November 21st

Twenty four days pass by very quickly when you are experiencing something new each day. Take cottons for the warmer days; plan to wear layers; light weight sweater (perhaps cotton); a warmer sweater (perhaps wool); a fleece jacket (I find fleece to be excellent because it keeps you warm when needed and yet it is not heavy in weight for packing and/or wearing); take a jacket which will shed rain - one which you can wear over a sweater and perhaps your fleece; slacks, cotton and warmer; dining today is done far more casually.....for me a bit too casual, but with P and O you may find a more sophisticated type passenger - be prepared to mix and match and don't forget a stole/wrap.....dining rooms on ship can be cool particularly if you happen to sit with an a/c outlet closeby; comfortable shoes; It's a good idea to plan your wardrobe with co-ordinating colours....you willl feel comfortable anywhere. There, I'm not female, but have done many cruises over the years.......sufficient to know how to put together comfortable clothes for any weather conditions....oh, and don't forget a folding umbrella. With airline weight restrictions, it is more important than ever to travel for comfort and not necessarily for style. In many of these countries this time of year, expect cool mornings and evenings and warmer during the day. I love travelling this time of year. I've been in Barcelona three successive years in Nov......fabulous! Enjoy your cruise....nice itinerary!

I am just plain envious of your destinations and the length of the cruise---love it!
