A Girls cruise Holiday
So I have just less than 6 months to wait until my summer cruise and I have been beyond excited since I booked it back in, well back in what feels like a life time ago.
This year’s summer cruise is a girl’s holiday. The perfect chance to let down my pony tail, order a cocktail or two and soak up the sun. It will also be my friends first ever cruise!
She is a typical non cruiser, asking all the right questions but panicking at the same time. Her biggest concern is if she gets sea sick, so was I honest or did I stretch the truth slightly? I was in fact honest. Yes there’s a chance you may feel a tiny bit green as we sail past the Bay of Biscay but other than that you have nothing to worry about. Waters will be as smooth as silk and calmer than you could ever imagine. (I say this now in the anticipation we will not have any Gale Force winds, severe fog or freak thunderstorms as we did on my most recent cruise, I didn’t tell her that bit, obviously.)
I haven’t quite worked out yet who is more excited, my friend or me. I have fore warned her that she will need to start putting in the extra work hours as once sailed she will never look at another holiday in the same way again, have I found my perfect Cruising buddy? I sure hope so.
It is so nice though that although she has never cruised she has developed a genuine interest for the holiday and more than anything else the ship! I have noticed in recent conversations we haven’t mentioned our ports of call all that much, we just keep talking about the ship. When we do converse on our land based options we just keep talking about Gibraltar, can’t for the life of me figure out why, oh yeah because it is the most inexpensive place I have ever had the privilege to visit.
With the above said shall I sum up our summer cruise, ok here goes. 2 week Mediterranean cruise consisting of Ship, Sea, Sun, Cocktails, sunsets and Gibraltar. I suppose at some point we will eat and sleep of course but the summary seems quite promising, don’t you think?
