Cruise Check-In

Before we board our ship we all must go through the check-in process, it can be super-fast but it can also feel like it is never going to end

I must admit one UK based cruise line has it worked out perfectly. I have come across quite a few people that always stress about how long check-in can take or in some cases how disorganised it can seem. I am lucky that I have never experience this, last year I arrived at Southampton and proceeded to the check-in area. I was given a card which would determine my check-in slot along with others. Within 40 minutes I had arrived, checked-in, gone through security and was onboard the ship

It may have even been quicker than that. It was smooth and hassle free, everything and everyone worked perfectly in sync to ensure all 3,000+ passengers were checked-in with the most minimal of hassle.

Before I even left the coach I watched my huge suitcase being unloaded and pushed through a hole in the wall that I assume was a conveyor of some sort, it truly was effortless. Having a stress free and pleasant pre boarding experience is I am sure top of everyone’s list. There is nothing worse than being agitated and annoyed before you even get out of the dock

If only disembarkation was as quick to save us the torment of having to wait sometimes hours for our slot. This is torture in its most evil form
