Drinks onboard cruise ships

When on holiday a lot of us like to let our hair down and maybe have a beverage or two more than we would if we were at home. I am using today’s blog to touch on the topic of NOT going too wild with the alcohol whilst on board

I probably aim this more so at the new cruisers amongst us as I am sure the regular cruisers will appreciate what I am about to say

Having a delicious cocktail or two on holiday is perfect, a time to relax and unwind and treat yourself to a few different drinks that you have never tried however, I would exercise caution on the amount you consume especially if you may be in for a choppy sailing.

I am sure we have all been there at least once, you head out for a nice evening and get a little carried away with how much you are actually managing to soak up with regards to drinks. You return home and find when you shut your eyes everything seems to be moving, yet upon opening your eyes again all is blissfully calm. I will say this will be the opposite whilst on your cruise if you are crossing areas like The Bay of Biscay. When you close your eyes you will feel the world spinning however once opening them you will soon realise this feeling will not cease as everything around you really is moving.

This is far from pleasant and will certainly make you feel a little worse for ware, I’m not being a party pooper, simply telling it how it is. Although I have never experienced this personally as I do make sure I am always well within my own limits I have experienced others go to the excess whilst cruising and ultimately regretting it.

If you do want to have a good old drink or two then wait until you are in calmer warmer waters, you may find your stomach and head can handle the effects a little better
