On Board cruise Entertainment

The CruiseCompare facebook page has a whole boat load of loyal followers, we talk about anything and everything related to Cruise Ships. This is the bit where I market it to you so if you have not already joined our community and you would like too then you can find the link to go direct on the CruiseCompare home page, it’s that simple.

Back to my story, we talk about some interesting things and some not so interesting things but one thing that came up recently was Entertainment on board. Personally I am not one who needs round the clock care with this, I prefer to grab a drink sit on deck and watch the sunset. Plus to be honest I have found on recent cruises the Entertainment of an evening just does not cut it for me unless it’s a comedian.

Some ships offer some excellent evening entertainment but I find it can sometimes be a tedious chore trying to get in the venue and once you actually make it in that’s it, your stuck there until the bitter end. I personally think there should be some kind of emergency exit not for an actual emergency but for when passengers simply need to desperately evacuate the venue due to the seriously bad on stage entertainment. Be honest it is not all great fun and enjoyment.

A little tip for you in future, try to enter the venue a few minutes after the show has actually started, creep through those extremely heavy fire proof doors and slip into a chair as close to the back as possible. Once there you have the best of both worlds, you have a clear exit path if all goes wrong or you have a bird’s eye view of the entire theatre if all goes well. Perfect.

Have to agree with your assesment of the French Riviera , we love Cannes , we like to just amble about taking in some of the stunning looking hotels and we always finish off having a walk around the marina and imaging "what if" !!! Sicily came as a total surprise to us , we went to Trapani which is gorgeous and great to again just amble aroun , the port is in the main street so doubt a large ship could dock there , but it's a lovely peaceful little town and we found a great backstreet cafe which done the most amazing pizza we've ever tatsed - keep the blogs coming am enjoying them !!
