Photography when on your cruise ship

When it comes to taking pictures I am the Queen of the camera, photography has always been a passion of mine and I am rarely without a camera device of some description. Whilst on holiday I try to take as many interesting and sometimes pointless pictures as possible. You see photography can inspire and I take a lot of inspiration from my own pictures for this blog

It’s great fun taking pictures whilst on holiday, there’s the ship, ports, other interesting little things you may come across and in my case even the slippery floor caution sign can lead to a lens capture or two. One thing I wish I could do though is go round the ship and snap images from the tender’s point of view. Yeah you can do this when boarding to go ashore but you only ever get to see parts of the vessel and I want to see it all

Imagine, being able to float around the ship and snap away, capturing as many quirky and interesting shots as you could, this for me would be perfect. I would even relish at the chance to dive under the ship and take shots of the propellers, maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part.

As I mentioned though I do sometimes snap pictures of things that another person would probably never even consider. I use today’s accompanying blog image to show you what I mean. It’s not something you would usually go on holiday and capture an image of but it inspired me to write this blog post and really relay to you how wonderful photography is

Photographs capture the moment and looking back at that one image can fill the mind with memories of what happened at that specific moment in your life, it really is a piece of history portraying a moment from your own life and it’s adventures.

When on holiday let your camera do the talking, capture your holiday in every aspect, photographs really do tell a story and you may well discover a love or even talent you never knew you had

With the digital cameras, it is so much easier to take many more pictures than you would with a film camera and not worry about the costs of developing and printing the pictures. I probably take 10 times more pictures since I went digital.
