Queen Mary Ghost Hunt

I recently watched episodes on TV regarding the hauntings onboard the legendary Queen Mary in Long Beach California. I actually could not take my eyes off the screen

How awesome must it be to embark on a ghost hunt on one of history’s most prestigious ocean liners. For some years the curiosity of the ship’s first class swimming pool has grabbed my attention. Now empty it oozes with intrigue and even watching it on TV you get the feeling something or someone is wandering the area in unrest. People have also witnessed wet foots prints in this area as though someone has just stepped out of the pool, however the pool has been empty of water for quite some years.

They also touched on room B340 which is said to be the most haunted room on the ship, because of this the room is no longer rented out but some of the crew did stay in this room and the paranormal activity was rife. There were noises and bangs and they even caught what sounded like a small child saying “mummy”

Some areas of the ship now seem totally derelict and abandoned, it actually felt like I was watching a ghost ship.

One of my dreams is to certainly visit this ship, they do ghost hunts every Halloween onboard and offer you the chance to spend the night, if you dare, whilst embarking on a ghost tour.

The ghost of a lady has also been seen numerous times in the Queen’s Salon which originally was the first class lounge. She is said to be dressed in white and floats around the room regularly having been seen by adults and children

The Queen Mary is certainly a hub of paranormal activity, maybe a lot of it is down to the fact that when you step onboard you do actually feel like you have gone back in time. Many areas of the ship which as far as I know have not been touched for years, they literally rest as they were sum 20 or 30 years ago. They are not accessible to passengers on a daily basis but I am sure they are included on the ghost tours.

I would love to know if anyone has embarked on this ship or one of the ghost tours

We stayed on the Queen last year when we took the Carnival Splendor to Mexico. We decided to stay the night before the cruise on her and we got a suite. I can honestly say we never saw a ghost but I did make a lot of fun out of it. So we went to Long Beach for Dinner and when we got back we took the Elevator up and we were stuck between floors for 20 minuts while they pried open the elevator doors. Some one couldn't take a joke
