Some interesting cruise places: Spain

Spain is a popular haunt for travellers of all types not only for cruise passengers. The country offers something for everyone from amazing food and drink to some of the most beautiful scenery on the planet

Popular ports of call to the country include Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga and Cadiz. The climate is ideal for summer travellers, warm and crisp with gleaming sunshine. Last year on my cruise I visited Valencia for the second time and the day was actually a record breaker temperature wise, it was glorious

If you do visit Valencia be sure to check out the Cathedral in the town, it is breath taking! Stunning in fact. It is a short walk from the coach point but you cannot miss it. When you get off your coach just keep walking straight, you will cross a square with a fountain and by this point you will see the stunning building, continue on until you reach the entrance on your left hand side. From outside it looks amazing but as soon as you enter you are literally in awe of its amazing beauty and architecture. I could sit there all day and inspect every painting and artefact.

Barcelona is also an interesting stop, you have the main shopping street of Las Ramblas along with a beautiful Marina front. Both are just a short distance from the ship but well worth visiting

Wherever you go in Spain you will not be disappointed, there is a vast array of historic areas and places of natural beauty to captivate your imagination and light up your camera

we did mediterranean cruise last year and it was amazinggg!! I love barcelona!
