What makes a cruise special
A cruise is not only a holiday but I find it to be a total release from the everyday troubles and worrys of home. No matter where you go on your cruise the ocean has a mysterious way of simply calming you and releasing the tension that has probably built up over the last 12 or so months.
I enjoy my evenings watching the sunset, I really believe there is no better place to watch the sun set than at sea. It is amazing. Once the darkness draws in I often find a sunbed on one of the highest decks, where it is blissfully quiet and you can lie and watch the stars (always best to find a deck in front of the ships funnel then there’s not a cloud blanketing the sky, note this for future travel).
You would think it impossible to find a spot on a ship with more than 4000 souls on board that is actually quiet. Amazingly at night a lot of the open decks are empty. Perfect if you want to just lie and watch the world sail by. However during the day this is a whole different scenario.
A cruise in many ways is one of a kind, it is nothing like a beach holiday and far from waht you expect. It is i think addictive and the more you cruise the harder it is to be at home without having a future one booked. It is special in many ways but until you try it for yourself these remain a mystery.
