Celebrity to name new ship Silhouette
Celebrity Cruises has announced that the fourth ship in their Solstice class will be named Celebrity Silhouette.
She’ll enter service in 2011, close on the heels of Celebrity Eclipse who joins the fleet in April 2010, and carry 2,850 passengers. And, like her sisters, she’ll have a half-acre of real grass called the Lawn Club, the glass-blowing studio that has become a signature Celebrity activity and bigger than average cabins with a focus on vision: 90% of the cabins are outside view ones and 85% have balconies. Other onboard amenities include a 1,400-seater theatre, multiple restaurant dining options, The Patio on the Lawn, numerous bars and clubs, Solstice Deck, youth facilities and internet access via Online@Celebrity.
Well worth noting is Cellar Masters, a cellarage inspired by the vineyards of Napa Valley, it brings to life the experience of a global wine tour while educating passengers about the taste of a large variety of wines from around the world so they discover new wines, receive recommendations and enrich their knowledge of the world of wine. Company president Dan Hanrahan said, ‘… countless guests and travel partners have asked us to reveal the ship’s name over the past few months, which is yet another indicator of the widespread interest in these stunningly designed ships.’
