The 225,282-ton, 5,400-passenger Allure of the Seas is one of the world's largest cruise ships, and has a famous near-twin in the Oasis of the Seas. With 28 ultra-modern loft suites and 2,700 spacious staterooms, this 16-deck marvel proves there is something to suit every type of cruiser.
Allure of the Seas, which first sailed in 2010, really does offer some entertainment firsts. Most notably is the DreamWorks Experience, which is an amazing parade featuring all your favourite DreamWorks characters, and the ice show ‘How to Train Your Dragon’. There are smaller touches that matter too, like the iPod, iPad and iPhone chargers in every cabin, and the mini-speaker that allows you to play your device in your own space. You can also see DreamWorks films on the big screen in amazing 3D, or if you want some quiet time back in your stateroom, take a dance class, attend character meet-and-greets and port shopping talks, during which staff try to send passengers to stores that have paid to be mentioned in said talks.
For solely adults there is also a fantastic array of lounge bars to suit every need, such as one that floats up and down between decks called Rising Tide, one perfectly positioned between the ship's surf simulators and one amid Central Park's greenery. Other choices vary from the karaoke booths in the sports bar, to the elegant surroundings of the cocktail bar, and whether you are looking for the perfect Manhattan, a vanilla latte or a pint of cold beer, there is more choice onboard this ship then you can image. Guests can enjoy evening entertainment at the three-deck, 1,380-seat Amber Theatre, which offers multiple productions of Broadway shows, or the Entertainment Zone, a neighbourhood that's home to the Studio B ice rink, Comedy Live, Jazz on 4, and Blaze, which is one of the ship's dedicated nightclubs.
Dining options offer you the chance to indulge in sophisticated, gourmet dining at 150 Central Park or for something more informal grab a speciality burger or fresh salad at the Windjammer Café buffet. You can enjoy Mexican classics at Rita’s Cantina and the true taste of Brazilian-style churrasco at the Samba Grill.
