  • Family amenities: The Adventure Ocean complex caters to children from three to teens
  • Top accommodation: The Royal Suite, a grand affair with whirlpool bathtub and a baby grand piano
  • Entertainment and facilities: The theatre is called ‘That’s Entertainment’ and offers most of the entertainment on this ship, although there are many daytime games and quizzes and there’s music in the bars, although this is often recorded rather than live – it’s one of the ways that this ship rather shows her age
  • Tipping: A rather complex system operations on RCI ships: tips can be pre-paid in advance (this is mandatory if you choose ‘My Time’ dining) or added to your onboard account or paid in cash when the cruise ends. There’s a 15% surcharge on bar bills.
