Facilities

Features

  • Dining: One huge dining room offering two-sitting or MyTime dining, three casual eateries and two pay-extra dining venues
  • The main, three story dining room is known by a different name on each level. The Sound of Music (Deck Five) is reserved for passengers on the flexible MyTime Dining, and they can arrive to be seated for their evening dinner at any time between 1730-2100. Top Hat and Tails (Deck Four) and Rhapsody In Blue (Deck Three) both showcase the traditional, two sitting dining, with first sitting at 1745 and second at 2015. Note that the evening menu on all three levels of the dining room is the same
  • Giovanni's Table is an authentic recreation of a rustic Italian Trattoria, with an emphasis on pasta, salad, and braised meat stews. This is a family friendly venue, and open for both lunch ($15 per person cover charge) and dinner ($20 cover charge per person)
  • Chops Grille is an elegant, exclusive steak house offering prime cuts of steak, plus pork, lamb and exotic seafood, with sides and desserts. Open for dinner only from 1730 till late. A $30 cover charge applies per person
  • Jade is an Asian themed, self service buffet area open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Complimentary
  • Windjammer Cafe is a large, causal self service buffet venue, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Complimentary
  • Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Bar offers more than ten different flavours each day, priced from $2.50 to $4.00 per cup. Floats and shakes are also offered for sale. Open daily from 100-0100
  • Johnny Rockets is a fifties style retro diner. A $4.95 cover charge gets you burgers, fries, hot dogs and other comfort food, but drinks and shakes incur an extra cost. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Cafe Promenade is a 24/7 venue that serves up free snacks, plus tea and coffee as well as a range of extra fee premium speciality drinks
  • Boardwalk Dog House serves up hot dogs, bratwurst, and similar dishes from 1130-1800 on sea days, and 1400-1800 on port days. Complimentary venue
  • Family amenities: Five age-banded clubs for kids, plus three different venues for the difficult-to-please teens, makes this ship a winner, although some passengers would like to see a children-only pool
  • Top accommodation: The Royal Suite has a king-sized bed, a living room with a queen-sized sofa bed, a baby grand and a really big bathroom
  • Entertainment and facilities: There are many activities on this ship, all ‘fun’ focused rather than educational, the show-lounge is excellent and there are often good acts in other lounges
  • Tipping: A rather complex system operations on RCI ships: tips can be pre-paid in advance (this is mandatory if you choose ‘My Time’ dining) or added to your onboard account or paid in cash when the cruise ends. There’s a 15% surcharge on bar bills.
