Royal Caribbean's flagship Oasis of the Seas ship is the world's joint biggest Cruise Ship. At an unbelievable 220,000 tonnes and comfortably housing up to 5,400 passengers, Oasis of the Seas is a truly wonderful site to behold. This incredible ship features new-to-Royal Caribbean types of eateries that range from spa cuisine to elaborately staged food and wine pairings. Its entertainment district offers ice skating and disco, comedy and jazz, and a three-tiered theatre. Oasis is perfect for families and those seeking a slightly more thrilling atmosphere from their Cruise ship experience. Some of the things which make Oasis of the Seas so exciting are its innovations, such as the first-ever Boardwalk and Central Park at sea.
Central Park offers lucky cruisers pristine tropical gardens, a luxurious restaurant and balcony view staterooms overlooking. It's the length of a football pitch and is Oasis of the Seas' central hub. On the Boardwalk, all the way aft, you'll find the AquaTheater which is particularly dazzling. Its deepest-pool-at-sea, only matched by the same pool onboard Allure of the Seas, serves as a platform for performers, such as divers and synchronised swimmers, to put on great shows. You won't miss any of the wonderful entertainment as underwater cameras film the performers and project images onto two giant LED screens either side of the stage. There are two 18-metre diving boards and 20 performers dedicated to the space. Oasis of the Seas also boasts a wonderful choice of lounge bars to suit every mood or taste. Most of these are found in the Royal Promenade, such as Bolero's and the Schooner Bar.
The Vitality at Sea Spa offers everything you would expect from Royal Caribbean's flagship, including a pool, hot tub, steam rooms, and a fully functioning gym. Oasis of the Seas have two FlowRiders, the surf simulators that made their debut with the Freedom class, which are both located on Deck 16 with the Wipeout Bar wedged conveniently between them. There is also the first ever cruise ship to feature its own zip-line, which runs diagonally across the Pool and Sports Deck, above the Boardwalk. The ship’s Boardwalk, which is a nod to both England and Coney Island's costal piers, has a festival-like atmosphere with fun for all the family. Here you can find a hand-carved wooden carousel, various boutiques, eateries and fun shops, including a candy store and an old-timey photo booth where you can print your own colour or black and white snapshots in seconds.
Oasis of the Seas boasts a great choice of dining, only matched by sister ship Allure of the Seas, and there are so many dining options onboard that you could do something different for every meal of your cruise. For the best in fine dining, book a table at 150 Central Park or for an alternative romantic meal, dine under the stars in the Solarium Bistro. Asian specialities, such as sushi and sashimi, are on offer at Izumi Asian Cuisine or you can enjoy the best of the day’s catch at the Seafood Shack. Enjoy intimate exclusivity, personal service of your very own chef and wonderful culinary at the Chef’s table.
