Cruise predictions for 2011 from CruiseCompare

Cruising has increased massively over recent years and this has made way for some extremely innovative and interesting features aboard the worlds cruise ships. Including the recent addition of Starbuck’s to Allure of the Seas. This has been received to mixed opinions amongst Cruise passengers. Many have accepted it and love the idea where as a fair few also believe it is possibly the start of the branded invasion. Do we really need brands aboard the world’s ships? Is a major part of Cruising not experiencing different cuisines, flavours, textures and more? I suppose we are all different and what one person likes may not sit well at all with another, we will have to watch this space and see what we are surprised with.

Another area I personally continue to be shocked with every year is the activity type additions to the Ships. It really does just get more and more exciting every single year with every new ship. Ice Bar’s, Carousels, Zip wires, ice rinks, bowling lanes, entire real grass gardens I mean, Who would have thought any of these things would have been on our ships if we were having this conversation 5 or 6 years ago. Cruising really does offer something for everyone, the Cruise Lines cater to every single individual on the face of this planet.

We recently held a conversation with our facebook members asking them what they would like to see on board ships in the future, some of their comments were brilliant and I’m sure in time we are bound to see something similar on our travels.

Comments included: Scuba trips under the ship, Snow slope running from forward to aft, Laser Quest style venue, Swimming Lessons, Milkshake Bar and a Fish & Chip shop.

The Cruise Lines WOW us every year with their new ideas and designs so I am positive whatever the outcome we are sure to be once again blown out of the water with the facilities available to us on the worlds Cruise Ships.
