P&O offer West End shows on board Adonia

When Adonia joins the P&O fleet in May she will be showcasing Plays on board. One of which is simply titled Art.

Art opened back in 2006 in London’s West End and is set in Paris. Although quirky it is apparently both entertaining and funny , the show is mainly conversation therefore making it quite easy to perform and to a high standard whilst on board a ship.

Adonia is in fact moving from P&O Cruise’s sister line Princess Cruises, where she sails as Royal Princess.

West End style shows on board Cruise ships is a growing trend as the lines are trying to move away from the traditional singing and dancing their on board theatres usually show. Many lines in recent months have introduced spectacular shows to their ships including Norwegian Cruise Line which has the world famous Blue Man group showing in theatre on board the new Norwegian Epic. Royal Caribbean are also no strangers to theatre style performances as Allure of the Seas features Chicago and sister ship Oasis of the Seas shows Hairspray. Liberty of the Seas is also getting involved and will be staging Saturday Night Fever.
