Cruise passenger arrested for selling drugs

A passenger on board Allure of the Seas has been arrested after authorities allegedly found drugs and roughly $51,000 in cash in his cabin

Steven Krumholz, 51, was arrested last week for allegedly dealing drugs out of his cabin during a Caribbean cruise aboard Allure of the Seas. The ship had been chartered by Atlantis Events for what was described as the world’s largest gat cruise.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection authorities found almost 3 grams of methamphetamine, over 140 Ecstasy tablets, Ketamine which is a short acting yet powerful anaesthetic drug, $51,000 in cash and a $960 money order in the accused’s cabin

The drugs and money were discovered during a random inspection of the ship's passengers on Wednesday in St. Thomas. Another passenger also found to be in possession of drugs pointed authorities to Krumholz's cabin, where the drugs were allegedly purchased.

Royal Caribbean said it has a "strict zero tolerance policy" for illegal drugs on its ships. The cruise line is cooperating fully with authorities, the company said in a statement.
