Disney tests Alaskan waters

Disney Cruise Line is adding Alaska to its itinerary’s with seven night cruises to the region on board Disney Wonder

From May through to August Disney Wonder will visit ports of call including Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway and the Tracy Arm Fjord. Cruises begin and end on Vancouver, British Columbia

Disney’s Alaskan shore excursions range from a scavenger hunt and gold panning in Skagway to a “dog musher for a day” adventure in Juneau. Would-be mushers take a helicopter over the massive Juneau Ice field, where they’ll tour a sled dog camp and go for a snowy ride through the breath taking wilderness

Disney Cruise Line is always looking for new and interesting places to add to their ships ever growing itineraries. This spring/Summer will see the Disney Magic return to the Mediterranean whilst the Disney Dream has assumed all Caribbean adventures.

A new “Kids Free” offer allows passengers under 18 to sail at no cost when traveling with two full-fare paying guests in the same veranda or ocean-view stateroom (government taxes and fees are extra). The offer is valid on most Alaska sailings departing May 3rd to June 7th.
