Southampton to home-port a HAL ship?

Holland America Line has suggested that as well as Southampton being one of its ports of call, it may want to home-port a ship in the city. During the Eurodam Southampton launch, over a thousand travel agents were guests on the ship. Lynn Narraway, the HAL UK managing director, said, ‘One of the questions I was asked … by travel agents was when are we going to bring a ship to the UK. There has been no commitment but there is always a possibility…. I hope before I retire that there will be a HAL ship sailing out of Southampton.’ The picture shows the cabanas which will be part of the 'Retreat' area, offering both beauty treatments and relaxing sunbathing.
