Disney Cruise Line crew member missing

Disney Cruise Line has reported that a crew member has been missing from the Disney Wonder since Tuesday

A search is currently underway as a crewmember failed to report for duty on Tuesday morning.

An inspection of the ship was conducted and according to a statement from the line, "we immediately contacted the F.B.I. and the Bahamian Maritime Authority, which is leading the investigation on this matter." The Mexican Navy out of Cabo San Lucas is conducting a search along the ship's route. Authorities have also "spoken with the crewmember's colleagues to gather as much information as possible."

Passengers on the current Disney Wonder cruise are reporting on Disney forum DISBoards.com that the female crewmember was part of the youth programming staff.

Disney Wonder is currently sailing a seven-night Mexican Riviera cruise out of Los Angeles. The ship was at sea Monday and Tuesday, when the crewmember went missing

The statement concluded, "Given the circumstances we are very concerned about this situation and are doing everything possible to assist with the search effort and investigation."
