Friends and family of Rebecca Coriam desperate for news

The family and friends of Rebecca Coriam who disappeared from the Disney Wonder are desperate to find out what has happened to her

Their pleas come after officials told the family that she made a phone call from the ship shortly before going missing.

Trish Davies, cousin of Rebecca said: “They say they know what the conversation was, but they are not telling us. They say they have to wait for the investigation.”

Disney Cruises has carried out multiple searches of the ship, the most recent being on Saturday and the Mexican Navy and US coast guard are also trying desperately hard to find her

Rebecca’s uncle, John Jennings said the family felt the authorities handling the investigation were not doing enough. “We cannot believe it. The ship is huge. I am telling you they have not searched the whole ship. Becky just would not disappear. People are saying she went overboard but I do not believe that. Something bad has happened and we want something done about it.”

Rebecca, known as Scat Man to her friends, was reported missing on March 22, just 24 hours after the Disney Wonder liner set sail from Los Angeles for a week-long cruise along the Mexican Riviera.

Her mum Ann Coriam said: “We just do not know what happened to her, do we? And that is just the worst.”
