P&O Cruises to host Royal wedding party

On April 29th more than 12,800 British citizens will be travelling with P&O Cruises this giving light to the largest collective wedding celebration at sea

Onboard each ship, passengers will receive a Royal Wedding invitation to their cabin and the wedding coverage will be broadcast in all possible areas onboard, including the SeaScreen giant cinema screen by the pool on Azura and across other venues on all other ships

The Great British sail away or deck parties will take place throughout the day, with decorations and flags, and evening entertainment will include a Royal Gala Ball and a special themed quiz’s. Films shown will have a royal theme, such as The Queen, The King’s Speech and The Princess Diaries for younger cruisers.

P&O Cruises managing director, Carol Marlow, said: “The Royal Wedding will have the nation gripped on April 29 and we would like people to celebrate in true P&O Cruise’s style. We create a sense of occasion better than anyone, and have made sure that the day will be a wonderful celebration for everyone on board.”

On April 29th Arcadia will be in transit at the Panama Canal, Aurora will be on her way to Madeira from Barbados, Azura will be docked in Palma, Oceana will be heading home to Southampton from Gibraltar, Ventura will be docked in Southampton and Oriana will also be docked in Palma
