Cunard Cruise Line to Celebrate William and Kate

Passengers onboard the Queen Elizabeth will enjoy a commemorative royal wedding dinner at the ship’s Britannia Restaurant

Passengers with a firm interest in the upcoming Royal nuptuals would rather walk the plank than miss out on the royal wedding. So Cunard Cruise Lines, whose iconic fleet includes the Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, and Queen Mary 2, has planned on-board activities to keep passengers from jumping ship.

On April 29th as Queen Victoria crosses the Med, and the others cross the Atlantic they'll each broadcast the wedding ceremony live in their 800 to 1,000-person capacity Royal Theatere’s. Passengers will also be privy to a commemorative royal wedding dinner menu full of posh nosh like "Roast Rack of Gloucester Old Spot Pork" and "Black Truffle and Guinea Fowl Confit." And they can wash it all down with a "Princess Royale" cocktail all topped up with Brut Champagne. Just like William and Kate, guests will finish their meal with a slice of multi-tiered fruit cake decorated with cream and white icing.

Peter Shanks, Cunard’s president and Managing Director said "Our passengers are likely to have an above average interest in the pageantry of a royal wedding. We intend to cater for that and ensure they do not miss one minute."
