Carnival Breeze to sail in Europe following her launch in 2012

Carnival Cruise Line has confirmed its next new ship will sail around Europe following her launch in 2012

Carnival Breeze will be the sister ship to the line’s newest addition Carnival Magic. She will run a series of 12 day fly cruises around the Mediterranean from Barcelona

The cruises will run from June 15th to October 25th 2012, with the exception of an August 26th voyage from Venice.

The exciting itineraries include stops at Marseilles or Monaco, Livorno, Naples, Dubrovnik, Venice, Civitavecchia for Rome and Messina.

June 15th and September 7th departures will add stops in Palma while August 14th and 26th departures will visit Olbia in Sardinia. Some selected cruises will include an overnight stay in Venice or Rome.

The 130,000-ton Carnival Breeze will feature an aqua park, sports and fitness area, a wraparound promenade with whirlpools extending over the ship’s sides, and a 270-square-foot poolside LED film screen.

Company president and chief executive Gerry Cahill said: “Not only will Carnival Breeze introduce exciting new features and a highly creative island-inspired interior design that pays homage to the world’s most popular cruising region, we’ve put together itineraries that provide our guests with the opportunity to visit a huge array of stunning ports of call throughout the Caribbean and Mediterranean.”
