Transatlantic tips

If you fancy a transatlantic cruise, there is something you could do to offset the cost! Lots of people are taking advantage of the unlimited baggage allowance to transport things for other people – of course you need to be absolutely sure that what you’re transporting is safe and legal. A friend of mine has just crossed on the Queen Mary 2, with a huge crate of paintings that a graduate student from a London art college couldn’t afford to send home – his family took her out for a splendid dinner and gave her a choice of the paintings as a thank you, so she came back with a painting half the size of her living room too! And, of course, you can take your pets – which are housed in special kennels and you can visit them every day and walk them on deck.
