P&O Oriana sails as an adult only ship

Oriana underwent a multi million pound refurbishment to transform her into an adult only ship.

The one month in dry dock has seen the addition of 27 new cabins along with the introduction of the Ocean Grill restaurant which will be operated by celebrity chef Marco Pierre-White.

The Ocean Grill was introduced to replace the former restaurant onboard, Oriana Rhodes which was operated by celebrity chef rival Gary Rhodes. The new Ocean Grill will require an additional charge of roughly £12.95 per person

Another addition to the ship is also the Sorrento, another restaurant this time specialising in Italian cuisine which also boasts a pleasant outdoor dining area. This will require an additional charge of £5 per person.

All decor in public area's has been upgraded along with a redesign to the ship's aft bar and the aft deck as a whole.

"It is wonderful to welcome Oriana back into the fleet today with a fresh new look, and all exclusively for adults," said Carol Marlow, P&O Cruises managing director.

"Oriana is the most established ship in our fleet, having been named by The Queen in 1995. Since then she has carried hundreds of thousands of British cruisers all over the world."
