What’s to come in the 2012 world of Cruising

2011 was a great year for cruising and we recently touched on some of the years highlights but, now it is time to focus on what is to come in 2012

2012 promises to be a great year for cruising and there are some things worth noting.

First of all July will see P&O Cruises celebrate it’s 175th anniversary which has been aptly titled “Th Grand Event”. This will see all of the P&O fleet in the port of Southampton for the very first time and is promised to be an event worth noting in your calander.

2012 will also see the delivery of some new ships, quite a few in fact. Numerous line’s currently have orders placed and due for delivery in 2012 are the MSC Divina due in June, Disney Fantasy due in March, Celebrity Reflection due in October, Costa Fascinosa due in May and the Carnival Brteeze which is due in June. These are just a small few of the ships due to enter service in 2012.

P&O Cruises will also be hosting the hit tv show “Strictly Come Dancing” onboard Oriana in May and June. This is certainly something new for P&O and I am sure will be something other cruise line’s start looking towards.

One thing we are promised for 2012 is that we will be cruising on some of the world’s most splendid ocean going vessels and that there are a lot more to come.
