American Express Promotes Cruise on Costa Concordia

American Express has been left red in the face after it recently promoted a seven night cruise onboard the ill fated Costa Concordia.

Immerse yourself in a truly European experience, this was the head lining title in the American Express promotion that included showing a cruise onboard Costa Concordia around France, Spain and Italy for $749. The only problem being the Costa Concordia is currently capsized off the coast of Giglio.

The cruise was due to run from February to October this year.

American Express spokeswoman Christine Elliot said: ‘The mailing was already underway when the accident occurred.

We apologise for any inconvenience to those who received it,’ she told the News.
