Costa Concordia Captain Schettino a Coward and a Cheat

Details have emerged that Costa Concordia Captain, Francesco Schettino was having an affair with cruise ship rep Domnica Cemortan

A picture has emerged showing 52 year old Schettino and 24 year old Domnica in a restaurant together sharing oysters and crab during a port stop over on an earlier cruise. The image was taken at a restaurant in Villefranche on the French Riviera. Apparently other crew members were aware of how close the two were.

Schettino is currently under house arrest while prosecutors continue their investigations into allegations of multiple manslaughter, causing a shipwreck and abandoning ship whilst some 300 passengers still remained onboard.

Domnica told prosecutors she was in love with Schettino and that she found him “charming and fascinating”. It has also emerged that her underwear and make-up was found in Schettino’s cabin by police divers.

According to investigators they believe Donica was one of several unauthorised people who were on the Concordia bridge at the time of the ship hitting rocks.

Italian magazine Chi featured the image as it’s front page including several other images of the Domnica onboard the Concordia.

During questioning Domnica admitted she had been on the bridge and told in detail how she and other crew members including Schettino had reacted in the minutes after the ship struck rocks. She said “I was on the bridge because I was in love with the captain. I found him charming and fascinating. I love him. I was on the bridge as his guest. It's not right that his image is being destroyed.'
