Princess Cruises New Royal Princess

When Royal Princess joins the Princess Cruises fleet she will be the first of two 141,000-ton new builds for the cruise line.

The 3,600 passenger Royal Princess will join us in June 2013 followed by her sister, who remains un-named, in the spring of 2014.

Royal Princess will be the largest within the Princess Cruises fleet and will wow guests with amazing Mediterranean voyages sailing out of Barcelona and Venice.

She really is going to be full of amazing features and facilities including the “SeaWalk and SeaView Bar, a first-of-its-kind enclosed walkway extending from the ship’s top deck and a port side cantilevered bar, each with glass floors and sweeping ocean views”.

Royal Princess will also feature The Piazza. A simply stunning centre piece to this impressive ship. The Piazza will span three decks and offer a seafood bar, Italian themed cocktail bar called Bellini’s, gift shop and a Gelateria. The International café, Alfredo’s which is a stone oven pizzeria and a wine and tapas bar.

All staterooms on the ship that are outside will also feature balconies, this actually reflecting on 80% of the ship’s accommodations. All standard staterooms will also have some special and new added touches including larger televisions, key card slots for operating the cabin’s lighting, larger showers with a hand held option and pillow top mattresses. Sounds like heaven at sea!

There will also be an adult only pool area on board which will sit close to the sanctuary, a signature Princess space filled with everything to promote relaxation and wellness. Another two pools will create a shore line to an on board “tropical island” that of an evening will be transformed into a club.

Royal Princess will also proudly boast the largest high definition poolside screen standing at a massive 33 feet by 18 feet. Now that really is what you call a movie under the stars.

Cruises on board Princess Cruises newest ship are now officially on sale and her maiden voyage will see her sail from Southampton on June 16th for a 7 night cruise to Barcelona calling at Vigo, Lisbon, Gibraltar and Malaga.
