This coming Sunday will see the beginning of a new series in the UK on ITV simply called Titanic
With the recent tragedy of the Costa Concordia many might see this new series as another blow to the cruise industry but Cunard Cruise Line thinks the new drama series may in fact increase bookings and be good for the continued growth of cruise travel
Peter Shanks, Managing Director of Cunard said “Crossing the Atlantic by ocean liner remains one of the world’s greatest travel experiences and the heightened awareness surrounding Titanic’s centenary is set to renew interest in this iconic voyage”.
Cunard are the only cruise line in the world which still offer this iconic Transatlantic crossing as it was back in 1912. The fleet are possibly as iconic as the crossing itself. All three Queens offer guests a chance in some respect to almost take a step back in time and see for themselves the luxury of simply travelling first class on an impressive and extensive ocean liner.
Cunard have recently reduced prices of their transatlantic crossings, some to as low as £699 so the chance to experience this sailing just became greater. All three ships, Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Victoria offer sailings to all corners of the globe yet the Transatlantic crossing remains their most iconic cruise voyage.
