cruise prices to rise

The Association of British Travel Agencies (ABTA) has projected a steep rise in holiday costs next year. Currently the cost of an average two-week break is £560 per person or around £2,240 for a family of four. By next year this is expected to rise to between £2,464 to £2,688 – an increase of 10-20%. Average prices for current cruise offers are already £70-100 up on last year. Brochure prices for cruises in Europe will rise between 15- 20% on current projections because of rising fuel costs and the weakness of the pound against the euro. Holidays outside Europe will probably rise by between 10-15% largely on fly-cruise because of increasing flight costs.
