CARNIVAL'S HORIZON IS ON COURSE FOR 2018 DEBUT

Currently in the course of fitting out at Fincantieri's Marghera yeard in Italy, Carnival's latest offering, the `135,000 ton Carmival Horizon, is well on course for her scheduled European debut in spring of 2018. The ship, a sister to the already highly acclaimed Carnival Vista, is being readied for a programme of short, introductory cruises in Europe before she crosses to the USA just months later.

In May, the ship will relocate from Barcelona to New York on a thirteen night transatlantic crossing. From New York, the Carnival Horizon will then launch on a series of short, four day round trip cruises to Kings Wharf in Bermuda- the first such series of short Bermuda cruises ever to be offered by Carnival or, indeed, any other cruise line.

A series of more substantial, eight day voyages to the Caribbean will also feature during the New York season, after which the mammonth ship will depart for her new home port of Miami. From there, the Carnival Horizon will sail a series of six and eight night round trips to the sun splashed island paradises of the Caribbean, commening on September 24th.

Who are these cruises best suited to? Large, multi generational families will find the Carnival Horizon to be a great choice, with a range of accommodation ranging from comfortable inside cabins to plush, spectacular suites with all the luxury trimmings imaginable. being a Carnival ship, she also has a huge number of surprisingly spacious balcony cabins. And, as on the previous Carnival Vista, the new Lanai cabins- complete with outdoor lounging areas and included hammock- make a welcome return.

Groups of friends and couples alike will also find this stunning new seagoing resort to be a great choice, with it's vast array of entertainment, dining venues and public spaces that allow passengers to be as sociable or as secluded as the mood takes them. And, of course, the Carnival Horizon herself presents a spectacular new venue from which to see some of the most beautiful and bewitching islands on the planet.

It's also worth remembering that you can combine those six and eight day Caribbean cruises to create one sizzling, fourteen night ocean safari that sweeps right through the Caribbean, In a similar vein, true luxury lovers could combine a summertime Bermuda sailing with one of the New York Caribbean forays as well.
