The MSC cruise line has just won an environmental award. CiAL, which is the Italian Consortium for the Recovery and Recycling of Aluminium – no, we’re not sure how they got CiAL out of that either. Anyway, MSC Cruises collected 10,000 kilograms of empty cans, waste foil and aluminium packaging from May to December 2007. The Consortium broke it’s own rules to give the award, which is usually made only to councils and municipalities, but decided MSC qualified because its ships could be classed as floating towns.
