Short Cruises Compared

Shorter than a week cruises are big business right now, as people either cut back on their holidays or try out cruising for the first time without wanting to commit to a week or fortnight long holiday.

Cruise lines are taking this to heart. Carnival Destiny is offering a range of four or five night cruises to the American market this year, sailing from Miami and swapping between the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

Royal Caribbean has four and five night cruises too, sailing the Mexican Riviera on Radiance of the Seas – these cruises have been hit by both swine flu and hurricane warnings, so they might be a bit more subject to change than you think.

Closer to home, Norwegian Jade has several three day cruises sailing from London.

Cruise lines that offer short cruises from UK ports on an irregular basis include Thomson, P&O and Fred Olsen.
