Postcard Cruise Travel Scam

Beware of a travel scam is doing the rounds in Britain and the USA. It involves you receiving a postcard with a splendid photograph of a holiday resort and covered in the logos of cruise lines and hotel chains saying, ‘We have been trying to get in touch with you about an outstanding travel offer. Please call this number in the next 72 hours’. Should you call, and it will be a premium phone number that costs a mint, you’ll be told you’ve been selected to receive a Cruise and Hotel package to the Bahamas. All you have to do is pay the tax and port charges and they will send you vouchers for this great holiday. Be warned though, those charges will actually add up to a great deal, the hotel will be a complete pit, and the dates that you are given - between which you can use the vouchers - are both limited and almost impossible to achieve: hundreds of people have fallen for this, but a year after receiving their vouchers, haven’t managed to find dates when the package isn’t ‘already fully booked’.
