Arcadia schedules hit by engine problems

Arcadia has been struggling with its ‘pods’: state-of-the-art propulsion units, where the propulsion motor is installed inside a submerged 360 degrees pod and coupled to an extremely short propeller shaft giving, supposedly, outstanding manoeuvring. This means cruises until November will have some minor (and a few major) alterations. In most cases it only means that arrivals and departures will alter between 30 - 60 minutes earlier or later. But it does seem that one cruise has been reduced in length from fourteen days to twelve and that ports have been altered. Instead of port calls at Monte Carlo, Almeria, Cadiz, Lisbon and Vigo, the Arcadia will visit Calvi, Civitavecchia and Gibraltar. When the 26th November cruise ends, in Southampton, Arcadia will enter dry dock and repairs will be made.
