Tour operators are raising prices and cutting capacity to cope with market changes, and there are fears that the era of cut-price flights and city breaks is over for at least a decade, however, luxury holiday and cruise holiday sales are on the increase which means a double squeeze – more people seeking bargains and less bargains around. The average selling prices for winter 2008 holidays have risen by 9% in the past two months, and already prices for next summer are up 8%.
