National Cruise Week, UK

More than 2,000 travel agencies will be supporting the UK’s first National Cruise Week which runs from 7th to 14th September. The campaign is designed to promote the diversity of cruise holiday and agents throughout the country will be holding events to promote cruising and highlighting the huge choice of destinations and activities open to passengers. A spokesman for the Association of Cruise Experts, said, ‘Cruising is becoming ever more popular …National Cruise Week is a great way to show that there really is a cruise for everyone. The choice now offered by companies is immense – there is a cruise to suit all ages and all pockets, you can find intimacy or full-on fun, snow or sun, desert or jungle, relaxation or activity, the choice is truly endless’. National Cruise Week will also work with WWF in protecting marine species - travel agents have committed to ‘adopting’ a dolphin on behalf of customers buying a cruise holiday, helping WWF to safeguard the future of the species.
