New cruise technology for Fred Olsen

Fred Olsen has installed interactive television facilities on the Balmoral and Braemar – it doesn’t allow you to take part in television shows, like some weird virtual reality system, but it does mean that passengers can check out shore excursion information and even browse the onboard shops and make purchases without leaving their cabin. Services offered include ordering room service, selecting from the wine list prior to dinner, buying duty free goods, selecting a film to watch and having it delivered to your cabin and booking shore excursions or even your next holiday. This has great benefits for both passenger and staff as it reduces queues and waiting time, but if you want the personal touch, all these things can still be done face to face.
