Ship: Azamara Pursuit

QE2, the luxury liner that was launched by the Queen in 1967, will visit the Port of Tyne on Wednesday, October 8th. She will berth at Northumbrian Quay - a purpose-built cruise facility and one of only five in the UK capable of taking vessels her size. At eight in the evening, visitors will be able to watch a firework display that will mark her leaving Tyneside forever. Although the ship will not be open to members of the public, visitors wanting to catch a final glimpse of her can do so from some great vantage points on both banks of the river as well as from the area above Northumbrian Quay.
