Finding cruise bargains

There are a dozen ways of finding a cheap cruise these days, from using a specialist agent, through to the internet, or even checking the ads in your local paper for people who’ve booked cruises and can’t take them up for various reasons and are selling on their tickets on the uber-cheap.

Of course picking up a cruise at the last minute means that you will have to plan your holiday around the dates of the cruise which can deprive you of flexibility, but sailings are numerous and if you aren’t wedded to a particular destination or line it shouldn’t be too difficult to find something that suits you down to the ground. As the sailing date approaches, cruise lines often reduce prices to fill staterooms and agencies may lower their price to meet their quota of the number of passengers they are required to book on board.
