Hurricane Kyle cause Queen Mary 2 to delay leaving New York Harbour for 24 hours meaning that a planned stop at Portland, Maine, was removed from the cruise and shorter port calls at Saint John, New Brunswick and Boston were necessary to harmonise the delayed sailing with tidal limits for entering and leaving port.
