Just before 1am on New years day, a crew member aboard the Carnival Sensation Cruise ship accidentally fell overboard 20 miles off the coast of Vero Beach.
Thankfully the incident was seen and colleagues lifeline and notifying ship crew, who called the Coast Guard.
"You really couldn't see anything. It's night, it's dark. You know it's just a tragedy, he just fell over," said Madeline Czerwinski, a passenger aboard the Sensation.
