Wall Street Analyst slams Cruise Lines

Steven Kent an analyst for Goldman Sachs warned cruise liners to tread carefully, warning them on future orders.

"Cruise companies should have been more aggressive trying to cancel or at least delay the out-year ships," Kent made the contrast between the downturn in the building industry as the economy worsens.

Cruise giants such as Carnival and Royal Caribbean have billion dollar orders on new ships up to 2012, and Kent also warned cruise enthusiasts saying "people who own cruise stocks should get out now."

Income expectations for cruise companies "are way too high given the deteriorating worldwide consumer, the massive supply hitting the market, cruise operators desire to fill these ships at any price."
