Costa Cruises form join partnership with PlayStation

Costa Cruises & Sony Computer Entertainment have launched a join partnership that will see the Costa cruise line's ships equipped with the latest PlayStation consoles.

One of the main developments will be the PlayStation World area, which will be exclusively dedicated to the PlayStation 3.

Certain cabins will also be equipped with PlayStation machines, as well as the lido deck's big screen television and children and teen club areas on board Costa Cruises' ships.

Costa Luminosa and Costa Pacifica, the company's newest vessels, will be the first to have the games consoles installed from May and June this year.

Andrea Cuneo, marketing director of Sony Computer Entertainment Italia, said: 'Thanks to Costa Cruises, we're going to take the dynamism and cutting-edge technology of our brand around the seas of the world.'

Fabrizia Greppi of Costa Cruises added: 'This partnership will bring to our guests another exciting innovation and another world exclusive feature – the PlayStation, a veritable cult object for all video gamers.'

The cruise line owns 12 fleet ships which sail to 250 destinations every year in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean and elsewhere.
